We Shut It was born out of necessity. While juggling a demanding corporate career and launching her wellness brand, Inmispace, Pei struggled with exhaustion, poor sleep, and the unexpected effects of mouth breathing, waking up each morning with a painfully dry mouth.

Dealing with depression and restless nights, she tried everything. The real shift came through breathwork and mouth taping, two simple practices that changed her sleep and her state of mind.

But the mouth tapes on the market didn’t feel right. They were uncomfortable, plastic-heavy, and visually unappealing, especially for someone who values aesthetics and sustainability. Travelling with friends, she often felt embarrassed to wear them. At home, they ended up in what she called the "mouth tape graveyard."

So, she created We Shut It: a thoughtfully designed mouth tape that supports better sleep and a more beautiful bedtime experience.
